La Paz
(lə päz′, lä päs′) The administrative capital and largest city of Bolivia, in the western part of the country near Lake Titicaca. Built on the site of an Inca village, it is the highest capital in the world, lying at an altitude of about 3,660 m (12,010 ft) above sea level.
