The College of Education at SQU, with the support of APCEIU, has developed an
elective course on Global Citizenship Education which will be offered starting next semester.
It offers the Italian language as an
elective course for SQU students.
The proposed
elective course will include the understanding of the "Mindanao problem" and the "Moro problem" as well as the roots of the conflict and its impact on the rest of the country, with appropriate attention to the history of the Muslims and the appreciation of the various cultures and ethnic identities.
They discuss the role of oral and written communication skills, the apprehension of accounting majors towards them, and interventions; the determinants of students' intention to major in accounting in recession periods, focusing on perceived professional ethics, job market consideration, social influence, and self-efficacy; the core competency skills of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and how to incorporate them into an accounting
elective course; using individualized self-directed learning assignments in a managerial accounting course; the need for accounting education change in the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand; and integrating accounting classes with other business disciplines using a team-based approach and course integration.
THE Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE) has decided to introduce an
elective course called ' Knowledge Traditions and Practices of India' for classes XI and XII in the current academic session.
