The evolution of the expeditionary Airman could not have been foreseen when the original
air expeditionary force (AEF) concept was being developed and implemented in the 1990s.
Reserve Citizen Airmen performed more than 4.4 million man-days and filled more than 3,200
air expeditionary force taskings providing global vigilance, global reach and global power.
They will form part of a joint maritime, land and
