Anchored by the cab-mounted DriveCam monitor and
event recorder, the technology will be installed in a fleet of nearly 250 mixer, tractor-dump trailer and pick up trucks serving central, east and west Texas markets.
The offering includes the DriveCam
event recorder, a wind-shield-mounted device that collects driving data inside and outside the vehicle.
This is enabled by the Enhanced Diagnostic Monitor, which makes it quick and easy to understand system health and identify issues; a new Sequence of
Event recorder and playback for faster event analysis and identification of process upsets and outages; and high-speed data logging for quick and accurate resolution to operational issues.
Patient-activated ECG recorders have been advocated to be a more useful tool in the diagnosis of arrhythmias in such patients, detecting arrhythmia in 66-89% of patients with paroxysmal palpitations or dizziness.13,14 Unfortunately they are much more expensive and even in adult population, on multiple occasions the patient fails to self-activate the
event recorder.6 Self-activation becomes even a greater issue in children who cannot fully understand the concept.
Despite long-standing Department policies against cellphone use while driving, the Department's DriveCam
event recorder program captured nearly 400 events last year where government drivers were texting or talking on cellphones.
Officials said they can access the locomotive and expect to be able to pull the
event recorder - similar to a plane's black box - which should provide crucial information about "speed and braking," Bella Dinh-Zarr, Vice Chair of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), told reporters during a press briefing Thursday afternoon.
